Definition of raw materials in drawing, types and tools of raw materials in fine art, explanation of types of drawing

a definition :

Raw materials are the basic materials of any work of art, and the raw materials in drawing are the difference between colors, formal tools and diversity, whether in the method of use, the surface on which it is applied or the intermediary tools, and all these factors are the basis of a drawing or a painting, and we use the two names as a kind of abstraction, that is to say we strip away the painting of all its materials. We extract them into a work of art, painting or drawing without mentioning the true content of the drawing. Abstraction is something we do with everything in our daily lives, and it also has a use in the plastic world.

Raw materials are divided into:

Colors: These are all types of artistic coloring, such as gouache colors, oil colors, watercolors, wood colors, pen or marker colors, that is to say everything that is used to create a line...

Drawing tools: They serve as an intermediary between the calligraphy material and the surface, such as brushes, formal knives, and sprays, or that which is used to blend the surface with the material, such as a trowel, or that which is used as an effect on the surface, such as erasers, drawing stabilizer or others.

Surfaces: This refers to anything on which a line can be formed, such as paper or canvas...

The middle tool: It is used to combine or rotate colors, such as oil in oil colors or water in gouache and watercolor...

Types of drawing materials:

We can define that each raw material or color has tools, surfaces and an intermediate tool which can be similar to certain colors or different. Then it is divided into two types, according to the nature of the color, and each type has a common characteristic among colors.

Dry raw materials:

These are the ones that do not require a mixing tool or dissolving tool. The most famous of them are pencils, which in turn are divided into wax, water-based and oil-based. The second type is lead and charcoal pencils, or what is called monochrome, that is, the final result of the drawing is in a single color gradient. Chalk, and here we mean pastel colors, which are white chalk. Mixed with colors and glue, which in turn are divided into powders, stick pastels, wax pastels, wooden pastels and marker colors.

Melted raw materials:

It is one that uses mixing or dissolving tools, such as watercolors. It may be available in powder or compressed liquid form. Water is used to mix or dilute colors. Oil colors are available mixed with bottled seed oil or unmixed. Gouache colors used for water. There are many other colors like tempera and acrylic.

Other meanings of raw material:

The material may be referred to by marketing terms, i.e. the best color material in wood colors, or by other terms. Here, as we explained at the beginning, the material is the base material, but here it is the raw material and not the raw material. work, that is, the components of the color material, its strength and resistance. That's why we abstractly call it the word color material itself. Something for all colors
